Nipple piercings

I got my nipples pierced 9 months ago. I am still getting crusties on the holes and sometimes a discharge from them. I have also been getting like yellow puss bumps on 1 nipple at a time only on one side and then when that one heals, the other nipple gets one. When they appear, they hurt. I’ve cleaned them just like normal and how I’ve been told to. Any advice on what I should do? They are making my nipples look kind of ugly now..
