Any one else have an SO that doesnt help?

My SO refuses to change a diaper and I have to beg him to help. He fed her once today, the first time in maybe two weeks. I just hate having to fight him to help, his excuse is that he works M-F. I'm now pregnant with #2 and scared it wont get better. What can i even do?

I'm confused as to why you're continuing to have children with someone who clearly wants no part of it? I wouldn't have had a baby with someone like that in the first place, let alone go on to have a second 🙅🏻 and it's not "helping". He should be parenting. My husband is a military police officer. He works days, nights, weekends, holidays, special events, etc. A much more challenging and inconvenient work schedule than a typical M-F 9-5. And I still never have to ask my husband to cook a meal, change a diaper, get our daughter ready for the day, put her down for a nap/bed, clean the house, etc. If it has to be done, he just does it like a grown adult. That's what adults do. I highly suggest getting yourselves into therapy or something and if it doesn't get fixed before your second baby arrives, then I'd pack up and be on my way. My daughter deserves better than that. There's no way I'd be staying.

My husband refused to do like anything with our son until he was 6-7 months old and more interactive. It was soooo annoying but now that he’s 1 and I’m the one working while my husband looks for a new job, he does most of it. However, he does now use 5 hours with him as an excuse to be “exhausted” and not do anything, yet thinks I’m lazy for being exhausted after a full year of it 24/7 🤦🏼‍♀️
