Offensive to do. edges?

I've heard mixed reviews about it being offensive to lay your edges if you are white. I have curly hair so almost all the videos on hair I watch the girls do edges and I think it looks so cool so I tried it. I could def get better with practice but if you find it offensive pls tell me so I don't make a fool of myself

You can do it. But the thing that's messed up is that usually when black women do it people refer to it as "ghetto" or "hood" but when other races do it that it suddenly looks nice or is "chic". I'm Asian and Polynesian and I lay my edges too lol. I have a black friend and I see the difference when people compliment me when I do it and criticize her when she does it.

Its one of the first things they showed us at hairdressers college. You can’t please everyone. Its your hair so do what you like with it.
