My mother and Thanksgiving. Help
So this year my husband and I are supposed to have thanksgiving with my parents. I invited my parents over to our house for dinner. My mother asked if either me or my husband know how to cook a turkey. I told her with the 4 of us I didn’t see the need for a turkey so I was going to do a rotisserie chicken. She then comments I’m having that for dinner right now you could do a turkey breast because she doesn’t want rotisserie chicken for thanksgiving.
Why? I am offering to have dinner at my house and she has to basically say my thoughts and plans aren’t good enough. I can’t win. I don’t even know how to respond.
