First time pregnant, when to make an appointment and where?

I recently found out that I am pregnant. I took 2 tests and they both showed positive. I completely skipped my period. I have some cramps that feel like period cramps but no blood, my breasts/nipples are really sore, and I have to pee like every hour. I would assume I’m about 4-5 weeks, if I calculated correctly Ive read online about not making an appointment until at least 8 weeks because the doctors won’t be able to see anything anytime sooner. I’ve also read about since my husband is military I need to go to my primary doctor first and she will refer me to an obgyn or something.
My husband is stationed at JBLM but we live off post. I know there are a lot of clinics off post that work with JBLM but my husband is talking about going to clinics on post. I’m not sure where the OBGYN is located or where to go. 
I am needing all the advice I can get and where to being with this pregnancy.

Go to the lab to confirm pregnancy and they will give you information but yes you won't have an initial appointment until 8 weeks. Congrats 💕

You'll want to call your pcm and tell them you are pregnant asap, they might have you come in and confirm the  pregnancy with a blood test. From there you'll be able to set up your first appointment, you can ask to be referred to an obgyn on or off base at that time. But ive just been going to my pcm for my prenatal appointments.

I am 13 weeks, congrats girl! First step is call your pcm appointment line and tell them you did an at home test that came back positive. They will either have you do a walk in urine test or submit a referral for a blood lab test. . 
Next the pcm will call you with results. The results come back quickly and they have 72 hours to contact you.
 After the results your pcm will submit a referral to the ob department or clinic and the ob will call you to set up your first appointment. 
The first appointment may be ran 1 of 2 ways. 1, they have your appointment scheduled as close to your 8 week mark as possible and do the initial ultrasound (normally transvaginal) or 2, have a new patient appointment with paperwork and then your first ultrasound at about 8 weeks. 
I advise calling asap! All post medical centers are hurting for doctors right now and appointments can be very backed up. If you have any questions along your journey feel free to message me!

Call tricare and find out who your primary doctor is and they can also transfer you to make an appointment with your doctor. Then go from there ❤️ we’re at JBLM also and I’ve heard good things about deliveries Madigan
