What is considered a heavy flow?

I’m not sure if my flow is actually heavy or not. I always need both pads and tampons because I leak. I need super absorbency tampons because if I use regular I soak in completely in 2-3hrs at my heaviest. It seems as though my flow can be bad but it never lasts long. I remember one time at work I changed my tampon (I think it was regular absorbency at the time) before I went in at 2 and put on a fresh pad underneath and by 5 I had soaked through a tampon and filled up half the pad underneath. When I told people they were like “holy shit you poor thing” and I was like what? That doesn’t happen to you? Lol. I didn’t soak tampons at that rate all night though, it was just one time. After I changed at 5 I was fine the rest of the night which was another 6 hours. I guess on the heaviest day which is day 2 I typically go through around 3 super absorbency tampons. On day 3 things really slow down and by the end of day 4 I’m usually done. How heavy is your periods?
