Crib w changing table or no?

I’m a FTM and I am curious, is a changing table connected to a crib a good purchase or would it be better to just get the crib as a stand-alone?

I never used a changing table and think they're really unnecessary and unsafe once baby is mobile. Also for me, I'm not going to go upstairs everytime I need to change a diaper so I would just get the crib by itself. It really depends on what you w want to do though, my brother and sister in law have changed their son on the changing table every time and he's like 18 months now 🤷

I've never used a changing table so for me it'd be a waste. We just use the couch or bed or the floor

I’m pregnant with our second and I’ve never ever used our daughters changing table, definitely one of the things I wasted money on. It’s just turned into a place we put clean washing before it’s hung up lol. I change my daughter wherever we are, it’s a little hassle having to go upstairs or wherever just to use a changing table. Changing mats are a much better investment, in my opinion

My little man is 2 and I’m due in 6 weeks. I still use his changing table when changing for bed and day time. I did use the couch or floor or whatever if I wasn’t in the nursery, but when in the nursery it was easier on table then getting on floor or bending over crib. I got mine second hand and cheap so no big loss of money or anything for me.

Separate. We bought a crib, a dresser and a changing pad. The pad can be in our room at the beginning and then the nursery later on.  And like most people said, at least half the changes will probably be on a bed or the floor.

I’m all honesty buy the crib and then buy a normal dresser and throw the changing pad on top of it that’s what I did  my little girls room and she can grow into all of it instead of having to buy more furniture later
