Having sex with my ex again and I still love him

So I started having sex again with my ex whom I still love. We broke up because he wouldn’t commit in the aspect of proposing already and now he wants to be with me again but I don’t want to make the mistake of making it easy again for him not to propose. We were even living together had been bf and gf for 7 years. Should I keep trying with him or let him go? It’s hard because I wanted marriage and babies with him and now it seems like he wants to but my family doesn’t like him for me and I have to sneak around to see him and it’s really hard on me.
