Could I be pregnant?

I was on bc for the past 10+ yrs and finished my last pack on Saturday. Monday night, I had sex with my husband with no contraceptive. Is it possible I could get pregnant already?

Answer

You need EWCM (egg white CM - although CF is the same thing) or watery CM to provide sperm with a hospitable environment and a way to get through the cervix. If you are dry or have sticky/opaque CM, then your body probably isn't producing enough estrogen yet (happens during first half of cycle, among other things). Of course, everyone is different - but most likely you'd at least feel a "lubricated" feeling in your vagina prior to ovulation.

Chances are that your body will need a few or more cycles to regulate its natural hormones. It's possible, but unlikely this soon after. Did you ovulate?
