HSG???

I’m getting a HSG done on my predicted ovulating day should I stop having sex until I get this done or it doesn’t matter??? Any one with experience in this type of test please help

dont stop having sex, but if you’re TTC this month - do stop because the HSG is going to flush out everything. i had one done over the summer and it was to be on a certain day of my cycle month, they typically don’t like doing it when you’re ovulating. the dye they flush, will get rid of everything that’s there.

My dr said to get an HSG done on the 7-10 day of my cycle. Do you ovulate early? Maybe try to reschedule it for the 7-10 day for your next cycle just in case?

You don’t have to stop having sex. You likely won’t conceive though because it’s flushing out your tubes where a fertilized egg would be. 
It’s really the perfect timing. You’ll likely be told to not resume sex until two weeks after to prevent infection, right in time for the next cycle.
I’ve heard many women get pregnant the cycle after an HSG because it flushes everything out and opens up the tubes nicely.
Also, it hurts. Take some pain killer about 30 mins beforehand. It’s over quickly though.
