Anatomy scan?!

Question

Anyone went for an anatomy scan and they also revealed the gender? I think it's silly I have to make 2 different appointments, the same week, to find out what the first can reveal. And let's not forget the co pays. I'm hoping they reveal it all in the same spot. Fingers crossed!!

Generally the anatomy scan is to check ALL baby's anatomy to be sure growth and health are on target. Once all of that has been done they will check gender. I've never heard of having to make another appointment just for gender though. That does seem silly! However, I didn't know until birth day the gender of my first 2 children and it wasn't because I didn't want to know!  My doctors were just very conservative with allowing scans.

See I immediately thought anatomy would be ALL. But then my midwife said I needed to make another appointment for gender ... I thought it was silly. I'm just sticking to the 1... And make sure I get the gender. I was just a lil confused. I haven't done this in 13 years .. I know things change so just wondering. Thanks ladies :)

Generally, an anatomy scan IS the gender reveal. I've always assumed that the "anatomy" part was finding out the gender.
