Do you do holiday barbies for your daughter?

I would like to but feel bad giving her something she can't play with🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

They aren’t really an investment anymore. I have a shit ton of limited edition and holiday and world and recalled barbies and none of them are worth a ton anymore since eBay flooded the market. I personally wouldn’t get the holiday ones.

My step sister aunt did them for her. She kept them at the top of the closet and she never got to play with them. My sister thought it was stupid and now at 30 years old my aunt tried to give them to my sister but she didn’t want them😂 who wants to store 30 boxes of barbies!? And her daughter is a Tom boy so she isn’t even interested in them.

I had a holiday Barbie as a tween and I totally played with her just like the rest of my dolls! I don’t see the point in giving a child a toy they aren’t meant to play with considering they probably won’t be worth anything significant later on as a collection. 
Back in my day, barbies were meant for older kids, and i played with mine from probably age 6-7 to 12-13. I was old enough to understand and be taught to take good care of my toys so they stayed in good condition. I find that barbies are often given to younger kids, under 5, these days and the dolls end up looking like hot messes with their hair all matted and tangled.
