When did you start potty training?

My daughter is 10 months old and I wanna start trying to potty train her once she starts walking. Any tips?

For the most success, you should wait until she is showing the signs of readiness. The average age is 2-3.

10 months is very young. She may not even have to ability to control her bladder yet or fully understand the whole concept of going on the potty. I’d wait at least until she’s 18 months and even then she may not be ready yet. I started both my daughters at around 2 years old. My first wasn’t ready at that age so we put if off for a few months and it was like night and day. My second I started soon after she turned 2 and she was super easy and literally potty trained within less than a week. All kids are different though. Right now I’d just buy potty training books and read them to her.

We aren’t exactly potty training yet but we bought a potty just so my son can get used to it. Sometimes he will sit on it, but usually it’s with his clothes still on lol.. he’s 21 months and isn’t really showing much of an interest so we aren’t pushing it yet.
