Is it weird to use the same (spelled different) name as the daughter of an acquaintance?

I really love the name Norah Anne for our little girl, but my husband and I are held back on it because a mutual acquaintance named their now 2 year old Nora Ann. For some background, my husband knows her husband through a friend, and I know the wife because we were coworkers for a few months about 2 years ago. We are still Facebook friends, but have never hung out and we don’t chat. Thoughts?

If they’re that removed from your life, and you’ve literally never hung out with them..girl, do it! That’s not only “their” name lol, I say go for it! It’s adorable 😊

I think it’s a sweet name! I’d use it! If you don’t speak with them, visit them or they don’t have a significant role in your life then it shouldn’t be a problem. If you don’t want her thinking you may have copied her, delete her on Facebook. 🤷🏻‍♀️ since y’all aren’t good friends it don’t matter.
