Would you be okay with this?

Question

So my boyfriend is bored of his job and is currently looking for a new job. And his mom is pushing him to work at a place where I'm not really comfortable with him working at. The job has been known to be a relationship killer, and I know a bunch of relationships and marriages were ruined by people working here. It has weird crazy hours and pretty much almost everyone sleeps around there.

Don't get me wrong I love my boyfriend, and I do trust him. I just don't trust other women and their intentions. And my boyfriend is known to be too nice of a person and can be blind and naive at times. And I just don't want myself or our relationship to be put in that situation.

This job isn't even that much of an upgrade from his job now, so I don't see the big deal if he doesn't end up working there. And I talked to my boyfriend about how I feel and he doesn't necessarily want to work there, but he thinks it's crazy that I believe that a job can break a relationship and wants to work there just to make a point and prove me wrong.

I'm 15 weeks pregnant and we've been together for almost 3 years and been living together for almost 2 years now. We haven't always been the most "stable" relationship and he's mentally cheated on me before. (If he physically cheated then I don't know about it) But we're better now and happier than ever.

I know I can't stop him from doing anything he's a grown man and if he's going to cheat he's going to cheat, and I should be okay with him working there if I really did trust him. But I just honestly don't want to worry or stress anymore then I have do already.

Would you be okay and comfortable with your other half working at a place like this? Or am I just being selfish and an over emotional pregnant lady? 😭

My husband works from 4am-4pm 6 days a week and the hours definitely put a strain on our relationship. Especially since he used to be home whenever we needed him. And now all he does is sleep. He works where his job is 95% men though so even if I didn't trust him I wouldn't have to worry about home wreckers. But the hours definitely make our relationship hard. As bad as I hate to admit it.

My husband's last job seriously aggravated our most serious issues. The hours were insane, they drove me nuts, and he kept being put in the position of having to choose between me and work (and he often chose work). That's also where the emotional cheating developed.

It may be my own bias talking, but I would take this very seriously. If your bf is feeling defiant, maybe just ask him to hold off until after the baby is born, when you're feeling a little less insecure.

It's great that you talked to him, and great that he gets where you're coming from. If he brings it up again, I suggest being a little more insistent. I wish you the best!

Is it a call center? Lol I've worked At one and its dubbed the relationship ruiner or something like that.. No you're not being crazy, he can't blame you for being anxious about this. Especially if he's done you wrong somehow before .. As much as you forgive there's always a tiny twinge of doubt. It's not like it's a great opportunity.. Why add unnecessary stress?

Seriously, if you cannot rely on your bf to be faithful, you should take a good look at your relationship itself before you worry about his job. I don't know why so any people choose to live in a relationship with trust issues...
Sry if I'm being cruel, but that's just my objective impression as an outsider. But maybe it helps to know another perspective.

I worked in a place like that. So i know exactly what you mean. I worked 2nd shift so odd hours. But its really up to you. If you have a bad feeling talk to him about it.
