First appointment date?

I had three positive pregnancy tests yesterday (yay!!!) and called my obg today to schedule my first appointment. My last period start date was October 6 and my appointment is December 7– this seems so far away! When are your first appointments scheduled?

Most OB offices won’t schedule the first appointment until 8-10 weeks. Mainly because by then they’ll be able to see and hear the baby. Some people can get in sooner if they’re high risk or have had a history of infertility.
My LMP was October 8th and my first appointment is December 3rd, I’ll be 8 weeks give or take (I’m 100% sure I ovulated earlier so I’ll be a little over 8 weeks).

They won’t schedule mine until beta tests, ultrasound, and genetic screening blood tests are done. Then if all looks good, they probably won’t schedule me until 12 weeks.

My LMP was October 2nd, my first visit/ ultrasound is 11/21, and I've had 2 miscarriages and I'm over 35, or it would have been in December.

Usually if people are seen earlier it’s because they’ve had complications in the past or are considered a high risk pregnancy.

They’ve scheduled my first appt for November 27th and I’ll be exactly 8 weeks. This will just be intake and not an ultrasound (which is a bit upsetting as I have a history of miscarriage and trouble getting pregnant... 🤷🏼‍♀️)

My LMP was Oct. and first appointment is Dec. 14! I’ll be almost 11 weeks. Three years ago we got in around 8 and head little one’s heartbeat and told family. Waiting an extra almost 3 weeks is giving me anxiety, but I keep trying to stay positive.

I am 5 weeks and they’re going to see me November 26th for the blood testing and vaginal ultrasound. This is my second time with this OB so maybe that’s why? I’ll only be 8 weeks along.

My ob says they typically schedule their first appointment at 10 weeks along!! Seems late to me but my appointment will be on Dec 6th
