Did your baby have an adverse reaction to vitamin K shot?

If my baby reacted adversely to the one shot, should I avoid vaccines in the future? Help 😣

Vitamin K is not a vaccine. It is to prevent your baby from severe bleeding after birth. They don’t get enough from you (breastfeeding) or from formula and won’t start getting enough until around 6 months.

I am delaying hep b for sure. As far as vit k I have read numerous things about it. I am still conflicted and if I do decide to go with it I’ll do the drops.

It is not a vaccine, hep b however is and that is also given with the vitamin k shot that we are not giving our little one at birth. You can ask for oral vitamin k or call the hospital and make sure the shot is preservative free.

Definitely get the vitamin k shot. Baby’s blood doesn’t clot like ours and if they sustain any trauma coming out of the womb the shot allows clotting to happen so baby doesn’t die. Also, vitamin k is not a vaccine.

It’s a SYNTHETIC version of vitamin k. It has a black box warning, which means side effects include death. You can purchase organic non synthetic vitamin K drops from amazon. So no I will not be getting a Vitamin K shot for my child.
