How far along where you when you had blood work completed to verify pregnancy?

So I just found out today that I’m pregnant with baby #2. To say I’m thrilled and over emotional is an understatement. 😊 I called my OBGYN to schedule blood work, and her assistant said they won’t do blood work for another 2 weeks because they need to assure that my levels double every 48 hours. I’m only 11 DPO - super early I know. But my last pregnancy (3 years ago), they checked right away, so I thought this was strange. Any input you all can provide is greatly appreciated! I’m just anxious.
