I was just confirmed pregnant (yay!) but long story short my husband and I got kicked off our insurance a few months ago and couldn’t enroll until just a few days ago meaning it won’t kick in until January 2019.

I’ve been experiencing some spotting and my primary wants to order a pelvic ultrasound. I’m wondering how absolutely necessary it is to establish an OBGYN now vs waiting until Jan. When insurance kicks in. We don’t want to be stupid, of course, but we also don’t want to be charged an arm and a leg for a meet and greet with the OB...thoughts?...
