🤰🏼Name help! 🚼

I need advice. I’m 24 from UK & 21 weeks pregnant. We’re having a boy 😁

We haven’t decided on a first name yet but for the middle name my partner is dead set on having the baby’s middle name as Derek (it’s his middle name too) 🤦🏼‍♀️

I don’t want to offend anyone who has chosen this name, but to me personally I hate it. I don’t know whether to go with it for a middle name just to please my partner (even though I know I’ll never be happy about it)?

I don’t think it’s a case of “you chose the first name so he chooses the middle name”. I think we should both be happy with our baby’s WHOLE name.

Also I read somewhere that Derek is so unpopular its almost extinct, with only 3 babies named this last year. I wouldn’t choose a name that he didn’t like & we’ve now fallen out about this. I don’t wanna be a bad person 😕 Help!
