On Saturday night, November 3 2018 my amazing boyfriend proposed to me!!! I am beyond excited!!! I knew it was coming but none the less, I was still surprised. Now I just need to figure out a way to tell my parents. We’re both young (he’s 20 and I’ll be 20 next month) and we have not been together for long, but we both know that we want to spend the rest of our lives together. My parents love him and I know that they won’t be shocked when we announce our engagement, but I have a feeling they might be disappointed (especially my father) we are planning on getting married early 2019 and we will be moving into our house soon after. I am so excited for married life and I just want my parents love and support. Any advice on the parent situation and anecdotes on your own personal experience would be much appreciated!
