What are your thoughts or experiences with long distance relationships?

My boyfriend lives in another country and we are totally in love. Sometimes it gets hard, especially not having your significant other with you when you need them. But somehow we make it work. It would be devastating to know that our relationship could end just because of the distance between is.

My boyfriend and I are in different countries, we flirted and talked everyday for a year and kept saying we weren’t going to date because of how hard it would be... Then we try to date other people and we both end up miserable and end the relationships and come back together it’s awkward at first but then we try dating and that’s been a year ago at this point. I have days like today when I’m sick and I miss him so much I’m a ball of sadness, but we do date nights twice a week for a few hours every week and it helps. The 5 hr time difference does not help.

I have been in a LDR for 15 months now and I am so happy even though we have had our ups and downs...God has been with us through it all.

My boyfriend and I were friends for a year, lost touch for about 7 months, and when we reconnected, we were both single for the first time at the same time. It progressed quickly from there. 2 days ago was the 2 year anniversary of when I was able to finally wrap my arms around him. I miss him terribly as I haven't seen him in over a year, but the plan is for me to move where he lives next year. I have never loved someone this much in my life, and I feel that he is the man I'm meant to be with for the rest of my life.
