I don't think the age gap is bad per se (if thats legal where you are) but there's a big maturity gap which can be an issue

I was 16 and my boyfriend was 21 when we got together. That was 6 almost 7 years ago and we are now happily planning our wedding! The age gap may seem a little out there but we are proof that it can work if your both willing to give it your all 😊

Ask yourself what on earth a 21 year old is doing with a 17 year old...
I know it’s “cool” when you’re 17 and “wow this older guy likes me” but once you’re 20+ looking at teenagers like that... ew

I started dating my now fiancé when I just turned 18 and he was 22 at that time. We were both in college so we didn’t feel the age difference that much. He’s definitely more wise and experienced than me and he taught me a lot but it was a positive thing. At the same time we goof around all the time and we’re 22/26 now 😁

At your age that can be a pretty big difference in maturity. I'd wait til you are 18 to start dating people in their 20's also

I’ve been through something similar. As much as I’d say I wish it last, it didn’t. We were just in two different stages in our lives. I couldn’t commit. I wanted to explore entering university. He wanted to travel and looking at investing long term. I wanted a long term relationship with him too but I wasn’t ready.

I don’t think it’s a bad thing. If anything it may be a bonus- since men appear to take longer to mature (grow up) than women!  😂
