Should a person take more than one type of birthing class?

We're taking Lamaze class and we went to a breastfeeding work shop aswell, more info the better :) Thankfully both we're free.. I dont know if I would pay for more than one- i heard they're pricey!

We started taking a hypnobirthing class last night. We would like to take lamaze as well. Thoughts?

Yes. I've read 3 labor and birth books and all based on different or multiple methods and its so enlightening.

One method might not be right for you.

My doctor even agreed that books are better then classes. I came in yesterday with a few questions. She anwsered, saved me a ton of money. (Library books)

My husband and I took a 13 weeks Bradley Method class with each week's class lasting two hours- we feel very prepared and don't feel another class would be necessary at all. It was money and time well spent!

We took a basic birthing class (it was an express class so only 3 hours), a class called comfort measures (a doula taught us tools/tricks about pain relief and comfort during labor), a breastfeeding class (free) and a newborn 101 class. I know it seems like a lot, but this is our first and we won't need as much the second time around. Both my husband and I feel more confident when we have many tools to use! We have found all the classes very useful.

Do what makes you feel comfortable, I'm a FTM & I plan on taking classes because idk what I'm doing or expecting and while others feel I don't need it, I actually do for my own sanity lol
