Who takes Metformin?

My doctor just prescribed metformin for me. I’m 35 weeks and I’m really only getting high breakfast numbers 1 hour after but they go down after 2. I’m not excited about taking another medication 😞. I’m wondering what the side effects are and if it makes you feel blah.

I had to take metformin before i got pregnant but i havnt needed it since. I was taking 4 a day. 2 at breakfast and 2 at dinner.

I take it for my fasting numbers. Im at 1 pill at night with last meal but i might have to get me up to 2 a night because my numbers will not lower .theyre always at 100. I havent had any side effects to it. Been on it for a week

If your not used to it it can give you gastrointestinal issues. But it’s considered safe during pregnancy. I’ve taken it most of mine due to my pcos then I failed my 3 hour test and they put me on a lower dose.

I was on 2 tablets of Metformin, and I had no side effects, and it didn’t hurt baby in any way. 
He was born at 38 weeks, 8lbs 1oz, perfect in every way!

I take 2000 mg after dinner. I have never had any side effects.
