I got about 80% of the stuff off our registry. I don't get how people always say they don't? Must be a cultural thing.

Just had my shower and 90% of guests ignored the registery anyway.  

My sister didn't add enough postage to them... So people had postage due. Also- the registry info wasn't added. Most people called to ask and I just told them.

Had three baby showers and only a few items were purchased on our registries. Mostly gave money and clothes. Expect that to happen. Most guests ignore the registries. Just ale what you can get I guess. And if yet comes with a gift receipt and you don't like it, just return it! 

You could be pleasantly surprised. We didn't do a registry (we are Brits living in US and concept is pretty weird for us, seems rude to ask people for gifts - I know it's an accepted convention here!) and had a lot of people calling us to ask where we were registered in the couple of days in run up to shower, when we told them we weren't and that we weren't expecting gifts, everyone showed up with really beautiful and useful gifts - we don't need to get anything else, after expecting to get everything ourselves! So it could work out for you :)

Mine said where I was registered and still no one bought anything off of it. Lol. I wouldn't worry too much.

Same here. Only a few items were purchased from the registry. Luckly, i had an earlier shower back in my home town and because of travelling, i had only requested GC. So now i have a pretty good cash amount to cover some of the things we need and did not get. 

No one RSVP's anymore well it seems like it. And no one buys stuff off the registry! I mean I didn't put items over $30 on mine since my hubby and I bought all the main big purchases so it wasn't like it was a $ issue...people are just different now. I hope you have a great turn out!

I had a lot of people still not use the registry. I just googled where the clothes/items came from and returned a bunch of it. They will only give you gift cards but you can totally use them to buy what you want.
