My boyfriend of 4 years told me today that although he cant think about it now, hes "intelligent enough to know that some day that might change and he will likely want kids".

I know for sure I want kids. Were 27 and about to move into our first home. I do not want kids now, but I do in the next few years. He knows this.

He is in the middle of a very HUGE and exciting (and demanding) career change. Were both stressed out trying to make the changes necessary to move into the new home.

Weve had this convo numerous times. Each time it comes up, he says he most likely will want kids in the future, he just has too much on his mind to think about it now. And that it's not right for me to put so much pressure on him to commit one way or the other for the future.

I'm trying to be respectful of his feelings but also want mine to be respected. Were at a disconnect.
