for a few hours now my chest has been feeling so tight and feels like someone is sitting on my chest. Also I been having shortness of breath and my heartbeat just feels off.

It is always best to get checked by a professional. 
But I’ve had very similar symptoms lately. I ended up in hospital because I felt like my heart was bigger than normal, my heart beat was irregular, I was hyper aware of my heart beat, I was shaky, short of breath and just felt really ‘off’. I suspected it was caused by my anxiety because I’ve had plenty of anxiety lately, but I was told by my doctor to call an ambulance anyway because my symptoms increased a lot after a stressful morning at work. 
They hooked me up to an ECG and ask tested my blood and urine. It was very clear on my ECG that I have an irregular heart beat (like it was REALLY irregular and the nurse initially thought the machine was broken because my heart beat was all over the place). It’s called an ectopic heart beat and a lot of adults have it without ever knowing about it - not always as pronounced as mine, but they still have it. It’s when your heart misses a beat or slows down and then speeds up to catch up with the beats it missed. People with anxiety and stress are usually more aware of it than others. 
It sounds like you might have something similar.
