Late period, but negative pregnancy test?

So I'm currently on day 41 of my cycle. Basically almost 2 weeks late. I've taken a few different pregnancy tests but they have all been negative. I'm never this late nor have I ever been. Could I still be pregnant? Is it maybe that it's too soon and there isn't enough levels of hCG yet to detect I'm pregnant? Or could it be another problem?
