I have a 28-day cycle and ovulate on day 15-16. Since I'm only two months TTC, I start testing around day 9-10, just in case I'm not as regular as I think I am.

Typically you ovulate 14 days before your peroid starts so if you start testing on day 11 you should be fine. I had a 29-30 day cycle and ovulated on day 15-16. Make sure it's a good test as some aren't sensitive enough. I bought the clear blue easy digital on Amazon it was a "2 month" supply and pretty inexpensive for the amount. I'd also buy little plastic cups (like 6oz) to pee in as the digital reader is reused you just insert new test sticks every day.

How long is your cycle? I believe my OB said to start on day 9 or day 11...I started on 9 to be safe and tested until day 21 or a positive (whichever was sooner).i logged it all and was able to base my due date off that (ultra sound showed me ahead but that would mean I conceived before ovulation so because of my detailed records they used my "o" date to calc due date).
