Should I have a vbac or another c section?

Trying to choose what's best for me and my baby in October I'm scared of risk of uterine rupture but the percentage for that is so low I really don't want another c section I want to be able to experience a natural birth for my second baby and I'm not sure if a vbac will be too risky or not? Hmmmm.

Try for a VBAC!!  Read all you can from Ina May Gaskin. But the other poster has great advice about checking with your doctor/midwife and how many VBACs they do.

Vbacfacts.com is a great site to check out. I'd definitely recommend doing a VBAC but you gotta do what feels right to you! I second the recommendation of reading Ina May Gaskin's Guide to Childbirth- it'll definitely leave you feeling empowered and believing in your body's innate abilities.

It also depends on your doctor and the hospital. Does your doctor perform a lot of vbacs? Is the hospital family with caring for patients wanting a vbac? Is anesthesia team and the operating room always availble 24/7 or is the anesthesia team on call. And if you dont mind me asking, what was the indication for the first c section? If all of the answers are yes and it is what you want then go for it. I wish you a safe and healthy delivery.
