Was I protected?

I started birth control last Wednesday,and missed three pills within that week up until now however I made it up and took 2 pills for 2 days straight. I had unprotected sex Monday and today, was the birth control effective?

Birth control is not 100% effective until 1 month from the start date. Not considering you missed 3 pills already..

Not exactly protected. Yes, some birth control only takes a week, but if you're missing pills left and right, no you're not protected at all.

It most likely was not effective because you've missed so many pills. If I were you I would take Plan B as son as possible. If you're unable to take a pill daily, you should ask your health care provider about a different method that doesn't require you to really do anything, like the implant.
