I'm embarrassed?!

Soooo I'm 14, I've had my period since I was 11. I swim a lot so I've used tampons and I basically fingered myself in the bathroom (like my fingers all the way in) to be able to put a tampon in. I'm super embarrassed that my hymen isnt in tact (even though i never felt anything pop or move) so idk if it is but I feel like a slut because I fingered myself and might not be able to gift my hymen to someone. Like i know I'm still a virgin and everything but I feel awful that I might not experience the whole
"Popping cherry" thing yk.

You can break your hymen a number of ways. You aren’t dirty or less of a virgin because you use tampons. Even at that, many women use tampons and still have some discomfort when they first have sex, partially because tampons are smaller than most penises, and therefore don’t break the hymen. I wouldn’t worry about, beautiful. Periods are natural, but they’re also a pain in the butt, and you have to use the products that are best for you and your life 💜

Your fingers or a tampon can’t “pop your cherry.”
Your hymen doesn’t “pop” or break when you lose your virginity, it stretches. If it stretches too much too fast, it can cause pain and bleeding.
I “broke” my hymen when I was 14 when I went horseback riding.
It didn’t make me a “slut” or make my first time having sex any different.

You shouldn’t see it as that, your body isn’t a gift and you fingering yourself is nothing to be ashamed of plenty of people do it. It’s a healthy and regular thing. Also you just did yourself a favor, honestly sex is going to be way easier in the beginning for u now that you don’t worry about a generally large object penetrating you. For most girls thats a very painful experience unless your hymen is no longer intact so don’t feel ashamed you’re not a slut. That’s not even what a slut is in the first place. People call women sluts when they’re sexually promiscuous with several men not because they broke their own hymen to wear a tampon lol so don’t worry about it. 
P.s. no one is a slut no matter how many men the sleep with, that’s a terrible word and I don’t even use it myself

I also don’t think most women even know what they’re hymen really looks like or where it actually is. Do some research on some reputable anatomy or health sites and see what the facts about it really are. 
Honestly, I never think I ever had enough of a hymen to break myself. 
Plus, no guy really would be able to tell if your hymen were intact or not; and if you were at the point of having sex with someone, then they should completely believe you in the first place! Trust me, making sure your tampon is in correctly does not make you any less of a virgin, in any way shape or form. And even if you were masturbating regularly and fingering your self during, you would still be a virgin! You are only no longer a virgin once you have had consensual penetration during intercourse.

I’ve broken my hymen because I do horse riding and I’m 14 so it’s no biggie. You don’t need to feel ashamed
