Varicose veins?

My mom had varicose veins when she was pregnant for both me and my brother. I’m almost 22 weeks now and I woke up with a slight pinch/annoyance in my upper left calf. My skin is very pale any ways so I can usually see some veins but this one just seems bigger and that’s exactly where it “hurts” . It isn’t a real pain it’s more a pinch or bruise type feeling. When you Google it it’s obv scary and extreme but I called my mom and she said it’s probably just the extra blood flow and yes that I’m prob getting a varicose vein there.

Anyone else have experience with this? I have no swelling, no warmth there nor redness so I don’t think I need to call a doctor. I’m wearing compression socks today to see if that helps.
