Update: Got my blood done a second time - still slightly elevated. The normal level should be 2.5 or below - my first draw was 2.81, second draw was 2.72. I'm now scheduled for an ultrasound Tuesday at 730a with a high risk specialist - my doctor doesn't seem too concerned as my levels are only slightly raised - but said this ultrasound would rule out any neural tube defects. Fingers crossed all is ok with baby 🤞🏼

Ok ladies...freaking out a little. My dr just called and told me that my levels were slightly elevated for neural tube defects. Supposedly they aren't worried yet as they're just slightly elevated, and I have to re-test next week to see what the levels are then, bc they could then be in normal range...? So I'm supposed to not worry or think about anything yet until they have a more definitive answer...I've been a mess at my desk at work since they called. This is baby #4 (6th pregnancy) - and I've never had elevated levels. Anyone have or known someone that did but all was ok?

Its definitely going to be a long week of not "worrying" 🙄
