Is the birth control shot that bad?

I hear all the time how the shot makes you gain weight, depressed, etc.. is that really true??? Should I get it?

The shot is so awful! I was on for almost 4 yrs and i didnt realize that it was making me sick! I pretty much had every side effects except weight gain. I will never go on it ever again!

It's not that bad for me. I've been on it for almost half a year. The first two-three months were rocky; I was crazy emotional, hungry all the time, and pretty sore. But once my body got used to it, which was around the fourth month mark, I was basically back to my old self-- just minus a period.

It really just depends on how your body react to it. Not everyone is going to have picture perfect results.

I got it and it is up and down... I have been depressed and it makes me cry over nothing but only started 1 month into it
I've had my period for three weeks and due
For my next one in a week 
I didn't gain weight or loose hair but do get bloating occasionally

I've only had the one shot and can't wait for it to be out of my system

Also if your wanting to get pregenant anytime soon then don't get it
