So bf of 4 years baby dad to #1 son and I’m 12 weeks pregnant he has been working away all week and staying in. Hotel with his work buddy’s anyways our son has just caught a chest infection tonsillitis and he has croup he’s 2 by the way anyways he’s on antibiotics so hopefully on the mend poor little baby...... all week he has not contacted me last night my 2 year old had a bad night he was so poorly and my bf text me and said I’ll call you in 5 mins I’ll be back at the hotel well he didn’t call he turned his phone off all night and didn’t reply to any messages intill 5:30 in the morning saying sorry I feel sleep I no that’s a lie coz I checked his whatsapp and he was online at 11 and 12 then he turned phone off again I found out though his boss he was at a bar drinking all night... u no I’m so insecure he don’t bother atal when he’s away and I generally feel me and son are no priority like what man turns his phone off when his child is ill I’m really considering ending this relationship this is not the first time sometimes he don’t come home from work and goes missing for. Day or two help me ladys  My hormones are crazy am I being stupid or do I need to kick his bum out
#Thank u for your advice he came home last night and said he just forgot to call me and lied and said his phone was on it wasn’t on it was off had enough he is a baby and we deserve a man not a boy x

Kick his ass out! It’s completely unacceptable that he wouldn’t even call to check up on his very sick child. No, hell no. I wouldn’t put up with that for one second. I get being busy, I get being away and your attention being divided but if you can’t pull five minutes out of your day to ask how your sick child is, you’re not worth a damn.

My husband is in the army when he is in the field for a month at a time he gets 0 service unless he climbs a mountain.. he climbed one every night to call me because he wanted to. He only missed one day and it’s because they went on a night mission. I don’t have a kid we found out we were pregnant 2 days before he left but he’d call to check on me and our baby. You man doesn’t have an excuse he could message you he could call you and definitely check on his son. You need to have a serious talk with him and if nothing changes you need to leave that is unacceptable In so many ways

I am actually with the previous poster. My husband works a lot of hours, and right now he’s working in two cities that are 4 and 7 hours away from our home. I get a call every morning, and we FaceTime every night, sometimes more than that if I, or our 2 year old is sick. I’m also 6 weeks pregnant, and his calls have increased since then. He never skips it. If he goes out, he calls me before he goes. This is unacceptable behavior on his part.

Yeah, that's pretty poor behaviour. You don't stop being a partner and father cause your away, he should of been checking in with you. I'm sorry but he seems to be a tad selfish and immature.

Did this behavior just start? Was he like this through the pregnancy and infancy of your first child? Or is this new behavior? I would calmly talk to him and tell him what you need from him and how his behavior makes you feel. See what he says and does. If you dont see any improvement after that talk, then I would end things. I think he deserves the opportunity to show improvement first.
