Marijuana during pregnancy & after?

I have nothing against weed but when it comes to being pregnant - why subject your unborn child to a substance? I have never gotten that.. I understand some do it because they are sick, have insomnia, etc. but I HAVE been sick, I can't sleep, and I have chronic back and hip problems and very rarely want to expose my baby to Tylenol. It's just more unknown substances that they don't need exposure to. My two cents. I've been through two unmedicated pregnancies and will continue with the rest of my children if I have more. I wouldn't judge someone for their actions in choosing to get high, I simply just don't understand why it's so important you have to keep it around during that time as well.

During(pregnancy/breastfeeding), no. After, why not? As long as you do it legally.

There's not enough research to really know the impact it has and that is not a chance I am willing to take with my children. As far as after, in TX it is illegal I don't need to go to jail or have legal issues to deal with over it and in my profession I see what poor parenting choices parents make or their delayed reaction when under the influence. Again not a choice I would make with my kids; just not worth it. I would just say if you choose to use please do it responsibility and have a sober caregiver for your kiddo.

I dont usually comment on these because people always got SOMETHING to say, but im tired of seeing people say "oh well i smoked and now my kid acts funny" or something that would have happened regardless if you smoked or not. How can you say its mary jane if test still have not concluded the side effects of it?

I smoked with most of my babies. I believed it help with my nausea but I paid a price because my 10 year old has severe behavioral problems + Adhd
