Diaper pails?

What do you do for a diaper pail? I'm thinking a small trash can with a lid but should it be the size for grocery bags or more like a kitchen trash can? Or are the diaper genies and such really worth it (for the frugal shopper)?

I use a ubbi diaper pail, way better than diaper genie in my opinion and it can take regular trash bags!

I used a diaper genie for like 6 months then quit using it.
It can become expensive and a waste of money buying the refills.
I throw pee diapers in the trash and put poop diapers in walmart bags and throw them out in the trash bin outside.

I use a small peddle bin and as long as I empty it every day it works great. Wouldn't really leave it longer cos it does smell. Diaper genies seemed like a waste of money to me and bad environmentally.

I just use a small trash can that has the pedal you step on for the lid. And because it's small you are kinda forced to empty it frequently.

We cloth diaper, but we use a simple human trashcan with locking lid and I love it.

We used a regular lidded bucket (from a home improvement store), which worked great while exclusively breastfeeding. But after you start solids, you’ll be happy dancing that you got that diaper genie! It’s sooooooo worth the money. No stench! Plus it keeps curious toddlers out of their own poo! Just buy the refills in bulk!

Diaper pails are so worth it, at least imo. 👌🏾 We have five diaper pails in our home, in different rooms of course. We have the Ubbi, Dekor, Munchkin One Step Diaper Pail, Tommee Tippee Simplee, and Playtex Diaper Genie. The Ubbi is by far the best 🙌🏾 The Dekor is a close second. I honestly do not like the Diaper Genie 🤷🏾‍♀️ However, some people do like them.

Don’t get a diaper genie because they end up way expensive because of the refills. When they’re little and if they’re breast fed, they’re poops don’t smell much so a regular trash can should work, however when they get older they’ll still keep so get a diaper pail. I got a bubalo (not sure on spelling). I really like it because regular kitchen bags work in it

I work I'm child care and change like 30 diapers a day so we have a larger pale with a lid. It works just fine most days. Occasionally we have to take the bag out mid day...but it usually does the trick.
