Is it annoying for you when people try to give you parenting advice?

My mother in law constantly gives me advice on parenting & telling me what she use to do! I wouldn't have minded except for the fact that she gets offended when I tell her I don't want to do that with my daughter ! I'm aware she wants the best, but I'm gonna be selfish here ..... She's my daughter right ?! & there's other ways of doing certain things as a parent!!! That's just me, or am I wrong ?

Things like this you have to take with a grain of salt. Simply nod and say okay I'll keep that in mind and move on from the conversation. Especially when it's the grand mamas!
