Weight gain during pregnancy with twins?
Hello all! If this is too uncomfortable of a question to answer that is not a problem with me, just scroll to the next post! I am in no way shape or form trying to upset anybody.
I am 20 weeks and 4 days. My nurse practitioner (someone I’ve only seen twice) told me I should’ve gained more weight than I have at this point in time. She said around 20 weeks with twins you should have gained 20-30lbs. I’m showing that I’ve gained 8lbs.. my first child I gained 9lbs total the whole pregnancy and she was born VIA induction at 38 weeks. 5lbs 15ounces. No NICU time. My question is, are there any moms on here who DIDNT gain the “proper” weight and their babies were still fine? I’m now at a point where im force feeding myself to try and watch the scale go up but I end up getting sick if I eat too much. I am at a loss and I’m not sure what to do. My first born also had cord issues so I’m hoping that’s not the case but now I’m not sure. She made me very worried. Anything helps. I have my 20 Perinatal US on Monday and we will know where they’re measuring then and I’ve already messaged my actual Dr asking if she’s concerned. I just wanted to get others input. Thanks so much, ladies! BTW they’re fraternal boy/girl twins if it matters. 🖤
