My storyđź’™ Jesus JR Arrival

Stephanie
At 35 weeks I was showing symptoms of  Cholestasis so I was put on the meds and had to do stress test 2 days out of the week. Monday 8/10 I woke up and noticed that the itchiness was so bad through out my whole body and I was barely feeling my baby kick. I called my OB and she told me to go straight to labor & delivery, I got there and they hooked me up to monitors and did an ultrasound. He was doing good, he wasn't kicking much but his heart beat was really strong. I had a induction date set for Friday 8/14 but the OB wanted me to get induce because he didn't want to risk anything by waiting (I was 36.5 weeks)... They started pitocin at 2:40pm I was already 3cm 80% effaced. The contractions was 2 min apart but I wasn't feeling any pain just back pain and belly getting really tight, by 5:30 I was only 4cm and the nurse told me once I get the epidural they will break my water and hopefully things will speed up but I decided to wait it off a little to see if my contractions pain would get stronger, I noticed around 8:30pm the pain wasn't getting stronger so I gave in and asked for the epidural so they can break my water hoping that things will go a little faster. So by 9:15pm everything was done and even with the epidural I was still feeling the contractions and they were definitely stronger so the nurse checked me and I was 8cm, I couldn't believe it. So she called all the doctors and she checked again and i was 10cm, did a couple of pushes before the docs came and at 9:58pm all 7lbs 10oz 21" of him was here!! When he came out his face was blue but he was crying, I didn't understand why his face was so blue, well apparently he was pressed on my pelvic bone which bruised his face really bad. I've never seen that before he had the pinkest body but the bluest face. Lyle doctors and nurses said they've seen it before but never that bad. It went away in a couple day but I'm so thankful and blessed to have him here with us and he's so healthy💙
