12 days with this.... ‼️UPDATE‼️

‼️‼️UPDATE‼️‼️ I ended up getting surgery to remove all the abscess. My boob got so swollen my skin ruptured by itself and started leaking puss. I went to the ER and they sent me home told me to drain it myself and to schedule an appointment to get my gauze’s changed. I went home crying! That was Monday night not until Wednesday that I had the appointment is when another doctor looked at my chart and said I needed surgery. Now I can’t even look at my breast or change my dressings this is so emotionally draining.

This is my second case of mastitis within 2 months. Tried 4 types of antibiotics and currently going for a 3 day shot of antibiotics. I’ve been doing the hot compress, hot shower nursing and tried to hand express milk. Any other pointers you mommas got for me? I’m so over this!
