Crib or bassinet??

Question

Any of you mommas getting a bassinet before a crib. I live in a one bedroom apartment. Our bedroom is pretty spacious but w/ all our gifts & baby furniture its getting a little stuffy & we haven't included a crib in here yet. I was thinking bassinet first & later purchase a crib. Any thoughts ?

We do a pack and play at bassinet height while she’s in our room and then a Montessori floor bed when she moves to her room.

We’re going to use a pack n play first and then transition to the crib when the baby is ready.

I think that sounds like a good plan. We have a crib because we do have a bedroom for the baby, but we do plan to keep him in our room in the beginning in a bassinet!

I would never spend money on a bassinet because they wouldn’t last longer than 3-4 months.   I used playyard and a crib  for my 1st,  with my second i had the playyard and the crib which he literally never used,   This time I bought a playyard and that’s it.   He will sleep in the playyard next to me.

We are starting off with a pack n' play in our room (first few months) then transitioning into her crib. I like the pack n' play because I can set it up high for a bassinet type situation and when she is bigger is will work as a play pen.

We also have a 1 bedroom apartment and are planning to have the baby in a cosleeper bassinet in our room for the first 3-6 months and then transition to a pack and play

With my first we did halo bassinet in our room til about 6 months then crib in his room. Worked great for us and are planning the same for baby girl.

I got a chicco lullaby pack and play for the first few months in our room then we’ll transition to the crib 😊
