I woke up this morning, just shy of 7 weeks, to bright red, clotted blood. My heart sank.

After 4 hours at the emergency room and multiple tests and scans later, I was diagnosed with a missed miscarriage. My urine test showed negative for a pregnancy and my bloodwork showed extremely low levels of hcg.

I'm just very confused by all of this and some of the things they said are a blur. But, I feel as though they said my bleeding could be menstrual. Does this sound accurate? They believe I miscarried a while ago and my body is self regulating now.

This is/was my first pregnancy and not at all what I anticipated or hoped for. One positive outcome though is that we found out that I'm RH negative and they gave me the injection to help my body's immune response.

They said we can begin trying right after my first cycle. And we're hopeful. We conceived after only 3 months! But, now I'm nervous. 😓
