My nexplanon expired on October, I had to leave on a family emergency trip and won’t be back home till dec 3. I called the “nurse line” since I couldn’t get in on apt before I left and asked if I’d be okay to have this thing in me expired for two more months. She put me on hold and came back and said “well the website says you should be fine you just won’t have any coverage, would you like me to give you the website?” I thought I’d get more of a thorough answer from a nurse. My question is, is it really okay to have this thing expired in my arm for two months?
