Doesn’t help that I’m in Texas.. the USA has the highest maternal mortality rates in the world and Texas has the highest maternal mortality rate of any US state. It’s something to the extent of 30 per 100,000. I’m literally in the worst place on earth to have this baby in.

My mom almost died after my brother’s birth, and it wasn’t even the doctors that caught it. My aunt had to tell the doctors “hey she’s completely white and lethargic” and THEN doctors realized she was bleeding out. This was less than 5 years ago. Absolutely scary and ridiculous.
