How to treat a UTI?

I get these seriously ALL THE TIME! if you feel you're having one (urge to pee every 5 seconds, pain while urinating) I wouldn't mess around. I would go to the doctor get a urine test and if it comes back positive take the prescription they give you, drink PLENTY of water and take cranberry supplements. Also a note..make sure to finish the prescription. I was dumb once and stopped taking the medicine when my symptoms of a UTI went away..DONT DO THAT! I ended up in the hospital a month later with a kidney infection. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy the pain is so unbearable. But goodluck, a uti isn't the end of the world but they do suck.

I'm a pharamacist and used to struggle with UTIs for a long time. UTIs are caused by bacteria in your urethra that make it painful to pee and make you feel like you have to go ALL THE TIME! You can take AZO over the counter for the urinary pain and discomfort, it works! Usually 2 pills, three times a day. Just be aware it will turn your pee bright orange/red, so don't be alarmed when you see that.  But, the AZO only treats the symptoms of the UTI, pain during urination and having to go frequently. You really need to go to a doctor and get an antibiotic to treat the infection caused by the bacteria. Otherwise, once you stop taking the AZO, the symptoms will come right back. And you can drink cranberry juice to help prevent UTIs in the future.

You can alleviate a UTI with cranberry (100% cranberry),drink water,  sulfur tablets, etc.  But, to rid of it, you're going to have to call/see your doctor and see if he/she can call you in an antibiotic (like Bactrim).

There is a product called cystex it helps with the pain and has some antibiotic properties to it and either drink or take cranberry pills and push water on yourself

Drink A LOT of water and cranberry juice for a day or two. If that doesn't clear it up, you'll need to see a doctor for some antibiotics.
