Why are dr's offices so cold?

Why is it always so frigid in Dr's offices? I'm glad I'll be doing all my visits in the fall and winter so I'll be layered.

Tell me about it, when I went to my first prenatal appointment I was so cold that when I went to get my blood withdrawn the lab technician had to have me hold her hand using the same arm that she was withdrawing blood from so my hand can warm up n my blood can flow faster than what it was so when I went for another appointment I wore leggings instead of a skirt lol

I suppose that's a good reason. Jeepers! Gotta remember my sweater every time and some serious hoodies and slippers for the hospital. You could hang meat in those places!

That's how they keep bacteria from growing.  Anything that's warm or moist will grow..
