When do you tell your family???

Hi all! So I’m 4 weeks and 3 days today.  My question is when does everyone plan on telling their family? Thanksgiving is right around the corner and Christmas in a little over a month. 
I’ll be 5 weeks and 6 days at Thanksgiving and a little over 10 weeks at Christmas. 
We are super close to my family, but not at all close to his family. So we know we want to wait at least until Christmas to tell his family. 
Is it to soon to tell my family at close to 6 weeks?

We aren't telling anyone until February(if  I'm not showing before then).  We had two losses this year, and as much comfort as my family gave us, we don't want to have to pull them into our grieving process again.  It's also easier for us to cope if we keep it to ourselves  considering my mother or my sisters would call to check in on our mental state.  It was more of a constant reminder of what we lost than helping us get past it.The less people that know, the better until we feel secure about it this time around.

I am 4weeks5days and we are telling close family at Thanksgiving! Our rational is if something terrible happens, we will need their love and support to get through it. ❤️

We told everyone as soon as I got my blood test results. 4 weeks.

We told our immediate family members as soon as the blood test confirmed the pregnancy. We are very close to both sides so they knew at 4w1d. I don’t think there is any “right” way to do it but for us we figured the people we told would be our support system if we lost the baby so that was our test for who to tell prior to the 12 week mark.

I told my mom and husband the day i got the positive test. I told my sister, dad, brother and his wife 3 days after that. As far as my inlaws, none of my SIL's told me they were preggers so im making the in laws wait until thanksgiving. My first OB appt is the 20th, so hopefully if everything and baby look good and healthy then ill tell them. But i feel like i dont bc they didnt give two farts about telling me whenever they got pregnant. I only got a "oh btw im pregnant" text and she was already like 15weeks..im still bitter about it bc they all act like we are bffs

There is no definitive right time. We told our parents immediately, and a few of our really close friends. I announced with my daughter after our first scan at just under 7 weeks. After several losses, however, I think we will be waiting a little longer with this one. I have an uncle who basically scolded me for telling anyone prior to 12 weeks (he’s not a bad person, just ignorant because he’s never had children of his own), and I know I won’t be telling him for a while. We will be about 12 weeks by Christmas, and I plan on knowing the sex by then through blood confirmation, also.

I'm going to wait for my first scan which should hopefully happen by Christmas..I'll be in my 10th week. From there if everything looks ok, we're going to tell everyone at Christmas :)

I got my BFP today. Told my 3 BFFs and my mom already. Will tell others as I see fit. Won’t announce to everyone else until sometime next year.
